Hey Patrick, I really appreciated this article!

I myself did start out (officially) as a UX designer last year. It has been quite a journey, and I do believe having a humble attitude and the mindset to learn is going to be your biggest assets.

Similarly, it is also important to remember new people were hired as UX designers for a reason; they should absolutely contribute ideas and concepts, but also work it in with the larger company initiative and not just make it a self-driven initiative.
